— Why global funding? The school project is in Mathare slum in Nairobi. The poverty level is below the average scale. Many residents hardly meet the necessities of basic need like shelter, clothing, food, water and education. Most of the kids in the school are total orphaned, semi orphaned, destitute and under privileged. The school cannot charge fees that can sustain its social economic and educational needs. Hence the schools community composed of parents placed a mechanism of cost sharing system where members, partners and well wishers contribute towards the sustainability of the children's educational needs, pay teachers and food stuff. The number of pupils joining the schools has steadily increase due to good administration, lunch programme by W.F.P (World Food Progam), good teacher-child relationship and good learning environment. The increase has led to extreme difficult to provide more classrooms, pay allowances, etc. Hence more deserving pupils cannot get a chance for joining the school. To solve this extreme problem the project management mobilized the community and legally acquired a piece of land from city council. The biggest challenge is the cost of construction of the tuitions and administrative block. It will be a huge progress once the block is constructed and furnished.
