— In 1998, Peter and Lydia mobilised the community by selling their vision, objective and mission through an awareness campaign. Two years later, The Future Kids was founded. Over the years, they interacted with different calibre of families, identified their problems and needs. The couple had to identify a highly effective intervention tool to reduce the major problems like high illteracy and poverty level and poor sanitation. With this and many other problems the family decided to create a centre to capture the attention of local, national and international community. The situation altered and the people changed. The community is very positive towards the project now and has realized education as a tool to eradicate poverty and improve living standards. Many children have enrolled in pre-school and post-school education. The space is limited, staff is enlarging and straining the limited resources available. The project is putting its hope to friends, partners and global funds to achieve more goals in following two years.
